Kyle Stangel’s 4×3 whitetail was shot with Wednesday morning September 30st. Kyle had been watching a few deer in the area and started figuring out what they were normally doing each morning and night. Kyle said, the planned hunt worked perfect. Before Kyle knew it the buck was 23 yards away and he had a good shot and took it. Kyler was really excited since it was the first deer that i had taken with my his bow.
Skyler’s mule deer buck showed his head in the middle of wheat bushels. Skyler and his buddy Klint devised a plan on how to get this buck. Skyler told Klint to slowly walk around the wheat field to see if the buck would spook out of his bed. The buck came trotting through the wheat field directly at me.
Skyler said “I started to shake in anticipation and was so nervous about my first bow kill.”
The buck closed the distance to about 15 yards when Skyler popped up and drew back on his bow.
“Once i felt the touch on my cheek I let my arrow fly and it stuck true, the buck dropped not ten yards from where the arrow went in him. It was a truly great day for hunting” he said.
