The 2nd Tryouts and Queen Coronation for the 67th Chief Joseph Days Court is coming up on April, 21.
The 2nd Tryouts, the final riding competition, will give the ladies another chance to show off their riding skills at the Harley Tucker Rodeo Grounds, Saturday morning at 11 a.m. The event is open to the public.
The Queen coronation is based on three different categories: Riding, speaking, and ticket sales.
Coronation Dinner follows at the Joseph Community Center starting with social hour at 6 p.m, prime rib dinner at 7 p.m, followed by the Queen Coronation at 9 p.m.
Tickets for the Coronation Dinner (includes cover charge for dance) are $27, and are available at the Joseph Community Center, Sports Corral in Joseph, and Community Bank in Joseph, Enterprise, and Wallowa.
Skyline Band will perform following the coronation with country favorites, classic rock and original music. Cover charge for the dance is $5.00. Entrance to the dance will be after coronation has been completed.
