SALEM, Ore. — ODFW and partners are hosting several turkey hunting clinics to get new hunters ready for the upcoming spring turkey season (season runs April 15-May 31 statewide).

Participants at the clinics will have the chance to practice their shotgun and or/archery skills and learn the basics of turkey hunting including proper gear, decoys, turkey behavior, biology and conservation; and turkey calling techniques.

“Spring turkey season is a great time of year to get outside, and the six-week season is open statewide,” said Andy Hamilton, ODFW hunting recruitment specialist. “These hunting workshops will cover all the basics you need to go turkey hunting in 2020.”

Register for the workshops online at ODFW’s licensing page, https://odfw.huntfishoregon.com/login
