Dave’s Valley Views: Time flies by

OK … OK … wasn’t it just Memorial Day?  Like a couple of days ago?

Time flies in Wallowa County – we have already completed our first car show – and the Bulls and Broncs … by next week we’ll have completed the 4th of July parades, Shake at the Lake, and Summerfest in Enterprise.

And the events will stack upon one another until the celebration of Alpenfest.  Dragon boats, planes at the fly-in, another car show and a motorcycle weekend will thrill some.  Bluegrass music, or jazz music, or the Courthouse free concerts will satisfy many.  Chief Joseph Days will bring in thousands – and Mule Days will draw in more animal lovers.  The kids will be busy with the fair.  Barn tours, farm tractors, and drives out to Buckhorn will thrill some folks.  The mountain trails will attract hikers and riders.  And it’s fun to take in the evening programs up at the State Park.

And … in the midst of all the busyness – please remember that the churches of Wallowa County welcome you while you visit us.  The best part of Wallowa County is getting to know the people who live here – while worshipping the Creator who gave us this beauty.

Enterprise Christian worships at 9:00 a.m.  Come worship with us just out of town on the Joseph Highway – and, as always, God Bless!
