Dave’s Valley Views: Look out beyond ones walls

Dave’s Valley Views: Look out beyond ones walls

At Enterprise Christian Church we strive to remember that we need to ‘look out beyond our walls’ to express God’s love to others.

  • Recently … We have emphasized giving to the community food bank – and have kept up our own church food bank as well.
  • We boxed up 175 Christmas boxes which were sent to other countries through the Samaritan’s purse ministry.

We will be wrapping toys from the Les Schwab toy drive and then delivering those toys to families. Included in those bags will be gift cards for the purchase of shoes – all from money collected during our Vacation Bible School.

We have sent money to build a house for lepers in Cambodia.

We have take up offerings for our church camp in Cove

We have given aid to some of the single moms in our area.

The message of scripture can be summed up in a phrase: For God so loved he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God loved – so he gave;  Those of us who have received Christ’s grace ought to be people who know how to give to others.

It’s not a Christmas thing – it’s a Christian thing.

As always, God Bless!
