When I was young I learned to play the violin.
When I entered into the 7th grade my orchestra teacher handed me a viola and said, “You’re going to play viola.”
In High School I played with the Walla Walla Symphony.
In college I played in a string quartet.
Then my instrument went silent for about 24 years – when I learned that the Wallowa Valley Orchestra needed a violist.
I play with the orchestra when my schedule allows.
This year the Wallowa Valley Orchestra has no spring concert.
BUT … the Inland Northwest Orchestra is coming to town and will be putting on a free concert on Saturday, February 11. The concert will be in the sanctuary of the Enterprise Christian Church and begins at 4:00 p.m.
Although I will be announcing basketball at Quinn Court – I encourage folks who won’t be in the gym to come to our new building and take in this musical event.
The Orchestra has a wonderful slate of music – and some gifted musicians.
Refreshments will be served afterwards.
An orchestra is illustrative of the church – when people use their gifts – play their part – then the outcome can be glorious.
Hoping you can come.
As always, God Bless!
