Dave’s Valley Views: Drawing Closer to God

Dave’s Valley Views: Drawing Closer to God

Pastor David Bruce

Our weeks of below freezing weather has been broken.

We have even enjoyed some sunshine days in the 60’s.
The snow piles are melting and some grass is beginning to green up a bit.

Many can feel like we have entered into a new season:

Snow in the morning which is melted by 10.

And enough warmth to bring on the season of MUD.

MUD season will last for a while – we’ve known it to go into May.

It’s kind of like going through the Lenten disciplines.

Lent is a time when we take an honest look at our spiritual condition – and we often find areas that have become dark and cold.

And through the disciplines we begin to realign ourselves with our spiritual purposes – and that often produces a new warmth – which often results in God showing us where the spritiual MUD is in our lives.

But … just as longer days of sun will dry out mud – so more exposure to God’s love will help us, once more, to find that we have a firm foundation in his grace.

Draw Close to God – He is waiting to establish you upon his grace.

Oh … and congratulations to Delaney Green and David Frasch on their recent marriage – we extend our best wishes to both of you!

As always,

God Bless!
