Back by popular demand – Wallowa County Farmers Market Harvest Dinner

LOSTINE, Ore – Back by popular demand, the Wallowa County Farmers Market Harvest Dinner and Auction is Sept. 14 at the Lostine Tavern.

The fall feast features locally grown, seasonal vegetables paired with Wallowa County raised beef and Columbia River salmon, expertly prepared by Chef Alexis Plank.

Set in the historic Lostine Tavern the Farmers Market Board of Directors and volunteers will serve guests family-style, inviting neighbors to share a gourmet meal together.

Signature cocktails, beer, and wine will be served at the bar to complement the meal.

The Harvest Dinner is an opportunity to celebrate local food while raising money for the Market’s operating costs through a silent auction, and the time-honored tradition of the Lostine Tavern Pie Auction – offering desserts to the highest bidder from the county’s best bakers.

Come support local growers, business and enjoy an unparalleled dining experience, Sept. 14 at the Lostine Tavern. The bar and silent auction opens at 5 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m., followed by the pie auction.

Tickets are $45 and available at The Bookloft in Enterprise, Wallowa County Farmers Market booth in Joseph on Saturdays, and at Joseph Hardware.

The Wallowa County Farmers Market started in 2002 and is held from Memorial Day to mid-October each year in Joseph. This year the market returned to the courthouse on the third Thursday in June, July and August to bring fresh, local food and artisan crafts to Enterprise during Wallowa Valley Music’s Courthouse Concert series.
